Paige is due on the 26th of June, and this being the 7th means we are less than 3 weeks out assuming that the little one can use a calendar. We still don’t know the sex which is surprising to me. I really thought there would be a mistake and an ultrasound tech would accidentally let it slip. The name that we kind of agreed on still seems to be “the one”. Of course, that does not mean that there will not be a last-minute changing of the mind.
It is not often that I find a piece of camping gear that actually changes the way I camp, but the Skottle Grill from Tembo Tusk has done just that.
I have been looking at the Safe Jack kits from Bogart Manufacturing for a few years, have read about them, watched the videos and window shopped at Overland Expo.
Well, I finally came home from expo this year with the 6-Ton Bottle Jack Recovery kit. Luckily the only use it has seen was a driveway test, but so far I am impressed.
Since this is a first post of the new blog, I will start with a little introduction. I am in my mid thirties, married, and work in the entertainment industry. I have always enjoyed being outdoors and grew up playing in the creek behind the house, but over the last 15 years or so, the love for the outdoors has really grown. It does not matter if it is a short hike, an afternoon in the hammock, a campfire with friends, a day of offroading in the Power Wagon or a week-long overland trip that combines it all together.
But this blog isn’t entirely about that. This is about the start of something new. The start of a new life that we will be able to introduce to the outdoor lifestyle, and the lessons we learn along the way.
